Horological Society of New York

|
Project goal
The Horological Society of New York commissioned a brand film to anchor its 160th Anniversary Gala: the most important night in the Society's modern history.
The film needed to honor 160 years of horological tradition, move a black-tie audience of 500+ watchmakers, collectors, and industry leaders at The Plaza Hotel, and serve as a lasting piece of brand storytelling for the Society's year-round mission.

|
The outcome
The film premiered at HSNY's 160th Anniversary Gala on March 21, 2026, where the Society raised a record $1.2 million and awarded a record $450,000 in financial aid to watchmaking students and schools. Narrated by actor Ben Ahlers (HBO's The Gilded Age), the film blends live action, motion design, and AI-restored archival imagery to trace the Society's story from 1866 to today. It was central to a night that drew François-Paul Journe, Roger Smith OBE, Kevin O'Leary, and Sotheby's, and was covered by WatchPro, Watch Insider, and the broader watch press.
Post-launch, the film drove a 45% boost in retention and a 30% increase in visitors to the Society.
